Service Contracts for Residential Heating Systems

Charlton Oil & Propane Company in Charlton, MA has decades of experience when it comes to heating system services. We offer two service contract options for heating oil customers. This contract requires that your heating system be cleaned on an annual basis. Please call our office for more information about contract terms.

Service contracts are for residential customers.

Our technicians may only enter your property for heating system services if an adult (age 18 or older) is present. Our staff members reserve the right to request to view the identification of that individual. If they’re unable to produce identification, we may refuse entry.

Residential Oil Service Pricing

• $125 an hour during business hours
• $187.50 per hour plus parts and travel after 4 pm, weekends, and holidays 
• Most service calls feature parts charges
• $179 for residential heating oil system cleanings

For commercial service, call for current rates.

Residential Propane Service Pricing

• $150 an hour during business hours
• $225 per hour plus travel and parts after 4 pm, weekends, and holidays 
• Most service calls will have charges for parts 
• $150 per hour plus parts for propane furnace and fireplace cleaning services

Maintenance Services and Cleanings

Our professional service technicians have years of experience with heating system care. From basic cleanings to complete system replacements, they’re up to the task. They are licensed, certified, and equipped to affordably assist with heating and hot water needs.

Our services include:

• Annual tune-ups and cleanings
• Emergency response when there’s no heat or hot water

• Full system replacements for heating oil and propane
• Free estimates

The current rate for cleaning is $179 (includes labor, parts listed below, and tax). This does not apply to Blue Flame units.

• Replace oil filter
• Replace pump screen
• Bleed fuel line system
• Replace nozzle
• Brush and vacuum the chamber
• Run efficiency test and adjust (if necessary)

This  is our cleaning price. Additional work that may be required must be scheduled for a later date.
